PAULA V. MAGLIE

The PersonaliTales series was created based on my experience as a child. I didn’t receive messages at home that built my self-esteem. At age seven, I began seeing psychologists to counter the symptoms of the messages I received at home.

Since the age of twelve, I started to read psychology books and analyze myself and how different methodologies worked for me. For example, the simple technique of repetition of positive messages, posited by psychologist Emile Coue, creator of the «conscious autosuggestion» technique, in 1910, worked and still works in the depths of the subconscious. This methodology is one of the bases of my children’s series, PersonaliTales. After researching child psychology, later in life, I began to write PersonaliTales.

This series not only aims to nurture children’s emotional well-being but also intends to inform parents about the importance of giving children positive messages in a fun and enjoyable way through PersonaliTales’s books.

The series uses interactive games between the child and the adult. Each story is an entertaining road for parents. They nurture children using positive messages—helping children build their self-esteem and confidence while creating stronger bonds between them and their children.

As for my background, I have studied psychology and journalism. And I am a culinary arts graduate by education but a writer by inclination, having written more than twenty-nine books on different subjects.
